This chapter is about the third ethos. It talks about how Aristotle called "disinterested goodwill", compiles selflessness and likeability. Great minds like Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay all supported the new constitutions while simultaneously claiming they never even attended the convection at all. Ethos counts more than any other aspect of rhetoric because it puts your audience in a state in a state of persuadability. Rhetorical trickery comes in when your flaws show and the best trick is to make it seem you have no tricks.
